Anyone know a sim that will work on a laptop with a not so great graphics card?

FMS is pretty easy on the resources. Never have run it on a laptop, but my desktop graphics card is no great shakes and it runs fine. Best of all, it is free. I would definitely research this more to find out if there is a better sym for your situation.

I don't know what the specs are on your laptop but AFPD works great on my Intel Macbook (not Pro). I am running Bootcamp with Windows XP. My Mac has a 2GHz core duo processor and 2 Gigs of RAM and lowly Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics. The integrated graphics with shared RAM is usually what slows everything down, but I get 40 to 45 frames per second with absolutely no problems. This is at full resolution and scenery details. BTW there is also another thread that verifies that FSOne also works well with my exact laptop. In the past I tried running AFP (not Deluxe) on a Toshiba 1.4 GHz with SSI integrated graphics and it was pretty bad. Only about 10 FPS. Totally unflyable.

Hey 10thumbs. What's up? Miss flying at Harvard in the mornings.

Free simulators, which run ok with slow video: FMS, SSS (I haven't tried CRRC with slow video, but integrated nVidia 6150 runs fine).

Among commercial simulators, AeroFly Pro Deluxe has the lowest requirements, it runs fine on my laptop with Radeon 200M video.
