For some reason as soon as my bladerunner takes off it slowly begins to do a sort of rocking/swinging motion in the air. When i do manage to take off and get a good hover ill try and move it forwards. The helicopter again rocks, as i press forwards the helicopter will lightly lean forwards and begin to move, then it swings backwards and just does this over and over again even though forwards is held down the whole time.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

That's what we call "the toilet bowl spiral of death." All coaxial helicopters do it. Try increasing forward stick gradually, instead of just pushing it straight to the stops.

Just an addendum to what Lanny said ~ Make sure ALL the rotor blades are set at the same pitch - about 20* from the horizontal. You can easily make up some sort of pitch gauge out of a piece of cardboard ~ your imagination is all it takes to rig up something that will do the job for you. Get used to tweaking the pitch before every flight, and especially after ANY less than graceful landing (crash).
Just one blade being slightly out of conformation will cause all sorts of maladies.

While you're at it, remove the canopy (permanently)(The BRs all fly better without the excess weight and aero drag). Then give the machine a good lube job ~ search for "Bladerunner Proper Lubrication" ~ The search engine IS case-sensitive.

Lastly, the BR wasn't exactly designed to "fly" like regular helis do. According to Petter's patent description, it was made to "be passively stable in hover". The design of the rotor hub and ring system is supposed to return the BR to a hover, any time the plane gets out of a "stable" condition, as when we want to fly. The fact that we owners can tweak a little FF out of it is a side bonus. The machine will never go any faster than a VERY SLOW walking speed. Don't even bother to try to get it to go any faster.

Search my past posts for information on blackening the motors ~ this will help the motors run cooler, and thus, last longer.

Good Luck, and welcome to the BR world, and this forum. Read as many past posts as you can stand, and rest assured there are no problems that can't be resolved, and realize almost every question that can be asked about these machines, has already been answered. So feel free to look for answers.
