Well I've gone off UH in a big way as a result of my last two orders.

They sat with a status of "Paid" "Unprinted" for upwards of 11 days while all the intems involved were flagged as "IN STOCK".

Now, after waiting all that time, both orders have suddenly been flagged as having just a single item "BACKORDER" and my packing slip still remains "UNPRINTED" so I'm left waiting goodness knows how much longer.

I took great pains to ensure that the items I ordered were IN STOCK at the time and deliberately split the order myself to minimize the chances of being caught out.

But this obviously didn't work.

So, *ONCE AGAIN* UH has my money (paid by PayPal), has my parts, and has left me waiting for as long as it takes for just two items to come back into stock -- which (given the approach of Chinese New Year) means I could be waiting another month or more.

Now I don't mind waiting a little longer for my orders to be despatched if it means I get to enjoy UH's lower prices -- but this is just totally ridiculous and the lame processing system they've got which seems to randomly pick orders to be ignored until they're out of stock of a key item sucks big-time.

I know there's something wrong because a friend placed an order just a couple of days ago and it's shipped already -- so why wasn't mine shipped for 11 days while the bits were in stock???

If they can't ship the IN-STOCK items in my orders by Thursday (TWO WEEKS after the first one was placed) then I want a *full* refund (including the PayPal surcharge).

Up until this point (having had problems with my last order as well) I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt but they're rapidly falling off the list of recommended places to shop that's being created for my new Website RCModelReviews. What's more, if they can't ship the product, I can't review it.

If nothing happens by Thursday (HK time) I'm going back to buying from companies that are serious about customer support -- the little extra I have to pay will more than compensate for the grief and frustration.

Come on UH, make my day -- just ship the damned orders while the bits are in stock!

I'm a strong and vocal advocate of those companies that provide good service but I'm also a harsh critic of those who don't and right now UH is firmly in the latter category.

I would suggest that UH is not for you.

Probably best if you buy from LHS and suppliers with a lower rate of turnover, if you desperately need the items so as not to cause "grief and frustration". Strangely, I never buy items from China when I need them in a hurry; too many variables.

Instock and not instock display update on a web page depends on a lot of factors; software, location of web display server, etc. I don't know their business processes but I don't think they are as random as you described.

I am sure the potential of a review will galvanise them to immediate action.

From my experience there is generally a significant difference between what is shown on a web site and what is actually available and the faster stock turns over, the greater the discepancy.

I buy regularly from local electronics and computer parts stores. I always ring before I visit the shops to check if they actually have the stock as displayed on the web pages.

Still no response (other than an automated reply) to an email I sent to UH the other day.

I'm sorry, they've really dropped the ball and I can no longer recommend their (lack of) service to anyone.

If I don't get a response shortly I'll file a complaint with PayPal -- I mean, they're not even responding in these forums (which they obviuosly requested be set up) any longer.

Does anyone else know of a supplier of the Corona receivers on 35/36/40MHz. I already buy my 72MHz ones from LightFlightRC because they know the meaning of the word *service* and I'm prepared to pay for that.

UH posted on their site earlier in the week that they were moving and e-mail responses would be slow. That notice was removed today so I would suggest that they are back on deck.

I would just get my money back if I where you. I think the low prices just are' nt worth the trouble dealing with UH.
I no that whoever has an order on those 11.1v 2200 packs are gonna be waiting a long time atleast until 3/3/07 and then you have to wait in line again and again then comes the backorder thing. Its just a matter of time and they will change there business name again.
You might just wanna call it a no win deal and buy from a trusted place.

Yeah, it's a shame though, they could have really made UH a massive force in the marketplace.

If you combine the global-reach of the Net with low prices and top-quality service then you're onto a winner and you'll make a lot of money.

UH has the prices, it has the global reach and (until recently) it had the quality service.

Unfortunately, two out of three just isn't enough -- it's a competitive marketplace.

They split my order same way, items were in stock when I placed the order and now it's been two months that order status is unposted when I check it on UH site.

Time to give up on UH me thinks.

They still haven't replied to the email I sent them at the start of the week and there's no sign of them here.

What a shame, they had such great potential -- and now I look stupid for recommending them to others :-(

It's now Thursday (nearly mid-day) HK time -- I wonder if they'll do me the courtesy of responding to my concerns before day's end.

Hmmm. I'm in the same situation, I think. I'd like to hear from someone whose received a PayPal refund for $$$ paid to UH. If enough people do this, and paypal starts grumbling to UH, they might drop UH's acct.

I never bought anything to any company or parties on net even I am living in China.
And I will only consider to buy from parties which has an account with Credit Card company, NOT PAYPAL OR sth like that.
Try email the police dept of HK about that things, with enough people doing this , they may open a case for that .
Good lucks guy.
