It seems strange that with all the things that plug into a modern PC, these dogs have a taste for the dongles used by various top end sims....

OTOH Malc perhaps those are the only strange meals that people bother posting about on the Simulators forum here on RC Groups. One of our pets managed to destroy a dongle for some CAD S/W once (considerably more expensive than Phoenix) but I didn't think to tell anyone here about it....but now you know ;).

Steve, what was the reply you got when you posted a request for a replacement dongle on the CAD companies support forum ;) -

The image in my minds eye is that from "gone in 60 seconds" where they give the dog laxitive so they can retreive the keys for the merc's - Ade mate, I would tell the guys at Phoenix to ware some masks when opening RJ's parcel :) :)

I'm just amazed at the intelegence of these dogs, I mean these dongles aren't that big and the dogs seem to know just how much hardship they can cause by eating them. I must be careful when I let my pet python out... he might just eat my PIC programmer :) :)

Sorry mate... its just that there has been so many posts like yours where in reality they have never purchased the software and have found a copy of the software only to find it won't work without the dedicated hardware... we've seen a lot, and I mean a lot of excuses of how / why they lost the dongle.. the standard one is "my dog ate it !! "

Now I'm not suggesting that you have some pirated software and were trying to find an alternative cracked dongle for it... as I'm sure you purchased the full package, and I'm sure that if your dog did chew it then there are bits of the original dongle that you can return to Phoenix for a replacement... if on the other hand the dog swallowed it then its either the laxitive treatment or a trip to the vets as it can't be doing your dog any good having all those sharp bits in its gut !

yup its not a problem if you have a broken dongle. Take it/send it back to where you got it from.
