Can someone point me in the right direction for readily available speedy engines of between .25-.30 in size.
must be side exhaust and reliable and not too exotic.
With throttle control.

Thanks
Jason.

Regarding moderately priced racing type engines,
I tried the MVVS line of imports, these are durable
performance engines, especially with pipe upgrades.
I have 8 of the 40 size engines with mild exhaust cylinder port
mods and have tached 19.5k rpm with the 8 X 8.5 prop.
These will run 16k+ out of the box with the right
pipe -matching research. All of this performace on 10-15% fuel.
I tried 5 different pipes, and had reasonable success with all of them.

MVVS makes motors in 15-21-25-26-28 size engines for combat
and racing applications. I have engines running at 18k plus
for 3-5 gallons before measuring rod wear and normal
runout wear measurements on the components.

They also have the upper end 40 engine, -model GRRT40
These can run above 22K and as much as 26k in certain environments.
You may want to try one of these mid priced alternative engines
for your racing or sport project. Good product support and parts
availability as well.
Just my 2 cents---

I've got a OS .32 SX that beats most .40size engines, the SX was a special model OS makes, think it has bigger carb etc. But its fine. I've got some nice running OS. 25FXs but they are not in the same class as the .32 SX.

If you can find a Webra .28 you can burn and turn with the best of them. A Webra .32 is a lot better if your rules allow. Run an APC 8-6 on the .28 and an APC 9-6/9-7 on the .32 for the best results.
