New Boat

Hey
I am new to boats but I have been driving nitro cars for a couple years now. I want to get into boating. I am looking at either the proboat black jack or the traxxas nitro vee. My limit in spending is $300.00. Any help choosing one would be great.

Both boats are good beginners boats. You will have alot of fun with them and even race with a few buddys. GET A RECOVERY CRAFT of some kind. I cannot go out on my local lake in a boat so I have to rely on R/C means of recovering my hydro when it flips or runs out of gas. I use a small tug called the Vac-U-Tug Jr. (Kate Massey). Right now Phil from www.vac-u-boats.com is not taking orders but he will here soon (Feb ish).
If your limit in spending is $300 and you have glow ignighters and other goodies from your cars then you should be OK. I dont know for sure but the proboat may have a TigerDrive on the motor which makes starting it a breeze. The Aquacraft boat has a bigger engine and will go faster but will require more trimming to keep it from flipping.

I think i am going to go with the black jack just because it has the electric starting. Retrieving the boat if it stalls isn't an issue for me. I do have all the glow igniters and things around so that isnt a problem either. I have also heard that it will hit a little over 40 so I am hoping that i can beet my cousins shockwave 55.
