Take a look at what Fed Ex just left me :D
These are the brand new 90 amp ESC's from Dualsky. I have several of these to let you guys try.
The unit can handle up to 36 NiMH/nicads or 12 lipo cells in series.
It is programmable using the Dualsky program card or standard stick method. These are equipped with high strand count 12 gauge silicone wire and a generous lead length for the receiver.
It weighs in at exactly what a CCHV85 does.
Feel free to ask any questions. This will be up on the Vampowerpro.com site in a day or so. However there will be a special net for RCG in the appropriate section.
Thanks,
Vammy

Vammy;
Will you be at the WRAM show? I purchased several items from you at the NEAT fair and would like to deal with you again. Great product at great prices.

Unfortunately no.. I have been super busy here and can't break away. I have been told that that show is very visible in the electric circles. We will be looking to add it to our show roster. You can still get great prices from me :D
Let me know what you need.

What is the actual voltage limit. The reason I ask is that I have an application that used a 13s LiPo so I need a nominal voltage of 48.1 with a start voltage of a little less than 54.6
Do you think that this ESC would work for my application?

Vam - I'm interested - what is the layout of the FETs - are they all on one surface or back to back on a multilayer board? Is the heatsink epoxied on or secured with thermal tape? If all on one surface this is quite possibly an affordable answer to an HV need I've been trying to address. Thermal tape would be icing on the cake. Thanks.

12S seems to be the limit on it. The unit is encased in an aluminum frame for crash survivability. It is not a heat shrink unit at all. It really is a nice piece of engineering. I do know it is a multilayer board as are most of the units...even the 25 amp. It has four mount holes to actually bolt it to a firewall, etc. You really have to eye it to appreciate it fully.
I would hate to say that it would handle the excess voltage and be wrong...better stay with the ratings on this one. I might take one apart and photgraph it for you guys.

After a bunch of requests about the construction of the HV90, I decided to let you guys have a peek at the guts. Here are the inside pics. I am very pleased with the quality of construction of the ESC's. The soldering looks to be well done, of perfect temperature and adhesion. The joints are nice and glossy. As you can see on the reverse side of the board, the fets have htc or heat transfer compound material on them.....another nicety. After it is carefully peeled away, you can see the fets....48 in all. I was wrong about the mount. It is in fact pcb material and not aluminum as previously thought. the heatsink is aluminum and held in place by threaded computer type standoffs of brass. Nice. All in all it operates very smoothly and linearly. Its programmed easily via control sticks or the programming card.
Please let me know your thoughts. Ron Van Putte and John Fuqua, both in the Master Class willl both be using these and Dualsky motors at the AMA Pattern Nationals this year. Very cool

Hey vammy, I looked on your site but didn't see this new esc. Can you pm me a price and availability? All my esc's are currently Castle Creations. I already have an HV45 and HV85 and I love them but might be interested in picking up one of these Dualsky units if the price is right.
Thanks!
