Dear friends of RCG roups:

I am trying to install a Dig. camera on my Cessna-180 airplane.
I have a old ( but rugged ) Garmin-100 GPS onboard with an exit connector that give me a logical position flag.

Can I take advantage of this logic to shut a digital camera ?
What kind of electronic equipment I will need ?

Any help will be very welcome.

Take a look at http://u-nav.com who do a "payload trigger" working off the GPS should do the job.

Hey Mmelli,

Google up "geospacial experts".. It is software the pulls the track log data from the GPS and the and the camera's clock. It then puts the GPS data on the photos for you. We use it with a Garmin Geko 201 and it works like a champ... It cost around 240 bones.
