I want to buy a charger that will allow me to discharge and cycle my NiMh batteries I am using for my parkflyer. The one I got with the RTF outfit doesn't allow me to do this. I am also looking at going onto using LIPO's in the near future. I have looked at several adverts in magazines and I am totally confused by the variety of products on the market. I realize that technology is changing so rapidly that what I buy today may be obsolete in two years time. The different types of batteries seem to require very specialized chargers like the new LIPO batteries that need balancing etc. I just feel totally clueless. I had a look at the Great Planes Triton2. It seems to be a good all rounder. I also don't want to spend hundreds of dollars. I am going to stick with smaller planes, possibley slope gliders or I would like to try out at 3D when I have more flying skill. Whats the best approach for under $150? I will buy off the internet.

A small 'no-frills' charger like this should answer your needs without breaking the bank. Options are programmed by linking pins rather than using switches and displays that increase cost

charges NiXX and also lithium. If you opt for lithium you MUST use a cell balancer as well.
