I'd like to see my heavier models stop faster when flying off hard runways and/or short grass fields. In other words, the tall grass at the end of the runway shouldn't be used as a net!

An aluminum disk on each wheel with an engagable magnetic path is probably what's needed. However, this may add a bunch of complexity to the retracts.

Are there any products that handle this?

Check Bob Violett's products.
He manufacturers good brakes for jets.

Thanks. Those are great w/ air retracks, but mine are servo operated.

I recently put brakes on a 80" B25, I used a completely seperate air system with no connection to the retract system. It just needs a small extra air tank. I have another brake system here that is going on a T34, it's hydraulic and has no need of an air system at all.

I think it's best to get a matching wheel and brake set, they're kinda made for each other. That is to say the brake is not a complete, integrated unit, it needs the right wheel. And check your axle size before buying anything.

I think you'll love 'em, the B25 comes to a full stop in a very short distance, and it's a heavy model.

Cheers.

It's be a long time since Dubro offered expanding shoe wheel brakes. These were servo operated, and worked well. Any that are left are jealously guarded. :)
Ernst makes a spring brake which wraps around a hub stuck in the wheel.
It's very good on a nose wheel.
Getting two of these to operate on the mains is very difficult.
