I just got a Giga2000 (Omega 3M or Lobo)from friend, new in the box. I did not have any instructions manual. What I need is the basic setup and the CG. I send an email to "Nan model" and to "Tun" but there is no replay.
Help needed.
Thanks

Hello,
I used to have an Omega 3m - just sold it last season, while I don't have a measurement, I will say I remember not getting any CG location with mine, and I balancecd it right in the center of the Center Wing Ballast box.
There was a panel on top of the center section that held ballast, and that is what I assumed the CG point to be.
Then it was a matter of some hand tosses to check stability and then flying. The plane is very docile, even with an aft cg and didn't have any nasty habits, that say, a Rear CG Eraser would have.
It is a great plane with a super strong wing and good light air performance!
Just be careful with lawn dart style landings, as the Fuse is pretty thin where the front pod slides into the rear fuse. Might want to fiberglass alittle on the inside as a matter of fact at the overlap area to thicken it.
good luck!
ps. I never ran servos in the tip ailerons. I really didn't see how much use they would have. I just taped them down.

I have several Omega 3 Ms, including Chip’s. Measured balance with the wing off (tails on) at 8 ½ cms from front of wing saddle. Same on mine and Chip’s. Like, Chip, I have not used the outer wing ailerons. It was nice to learn a little about the origin of this model (Giga2000, Omega 3M, Lobo). I would love to here more about it’s lineage and I have saved the posted instructions for the Giga2000. I will post the only instructions I received from NSP. I do believe the model might have benefited with slightly larger V tails (a la Vision) - doesn’t respond well at low speed (which may contribute to trauma attempting precision landings). ;) I love this plane though and found it to be more rugged than any moldy I am familiar with. But it is not indestructible and that is why I am in the market for replacement parts. Specifically, I am looking for a left wing. Regis :D

Any body have an guess as to how many of these were sold in the U. S. ? Were any sold in the U. S. under the name of Giga2000 or Lobo? Curious! Regis
