To those of you who have built a Lipo Charger based on the LTC4054L IC, I have a question regrading supply current.

What are the min-max values that the supply current needs to be? Data sheet says typical is 1200uA and max is 2000uA. Can that be true?

If so, the wall adapter I was thinking about using will be too big, but maybe I'm missing something here?

Here's the data sheet: LTC4054L (http://http://www.linear.com/pc/downloadDocument.do;jsessionid=FnspvxHerlRBVr2equv 1wXFZ8bzq7S5lk5CUxQz9Pdsi8CyylzAa!-1588297212?navId=H0,C1,C1003,C1037,C1078,C1583,P23 27,D2068)

That is the maximum current the chip will consume(does not include the charge current to the battery). As long as the adapter can supply at least 2ma + the charge current it should work. It doesn't matter if the DC adapter is rated for more current.

Awesome! I knew someone would come through...

Thanks for the explanation...this is my first step into a DIY project, so I want to make sure my ideas aren't screwed up.

Thanks much...Eric
