Just wondering why we don't see that many flyers using the 3.0M Danny, or even the Danny XL compared to the Ava.
The Dany is not quite as large as the Ava (118" vs 127), but is a little cheaper. Compared as advertized, the Danny actually has a slightly lower loading also (4.7 vs 5.1).
I've been looking at the Danny for so long now that I decided to buy it (so its too late now).
Based on the looks I know it'll fly nice, but if there are any Danny flyers out there, I'd like to know all the down-sides to this plane, such as build & set-up problems, handling issues, etc.
I probably should've asked all this from before, But I guess the damage is already done!

Thanks all for the help.
Northwest.

If my memory serves me right, Bob McGowen has written an article/review of the Danny in Quiet Flyer Magazine. Might want to check into getting a back issue. His daughter Robin has flown it very successfully in contests I've heard. I hope I've got the right model in mind, as he had good things to say about it.

Yep, its the right model. I can't readily get back-orders as I live in Jamaica, so this is my best info source. Need more info on problems with set-up & flying (if any).

Check the archives on RCGroups, there was long thread about the Danny.

I recall reading (prob. here somewhere) that the narrow fuse made installation of the radio gear a pain.

Yes, my Daughter Robin has one and we love it. You won’t regret your purchase Northwest.

Here is the Danny thread which shows some little tricks we learned from experiences with the first one (We had both the Danny and Danny XL).

Thanks a lot, Bob. This may be what I'm loking for. By the way, which colour scheme is more effective at a distance/against an overcast, The red/yellow or the purple/yellow?
