rib tapes or not on a rag n tube fuse

Does anyone know if on a slabsided tube fuselage are rib tapes used ie... Tiger moth / cub ??

I'm not sure what you are calling rib tapes. On a rib that is rib stitched you will have reinforcing tape under the rib stitching with finishing tape over that, usually 2' wide. The simulatated rib stitching and finishing tape is what you see on many scale models. On a fuselage finishing tape is used only where the fabric may touch a tube, such as a longeron or stringer. Normally there is no rib stitching under this tape.
