ive got this mrp cat that ive had forever i love the thing but id really like to get more out of it i know the dam prop is probably too small for the setup im running (mod motor on 8 cells) i have no problem upgrading the shaft assembly to something larger but where would i go to do this

currently it uses a direty drive (no flex shaft) 1/8 inch aluminum wire in a stuffing tube id like to go bigger so that i can run a bigger drive dog for bigger props, do any companys still make stuff out there

A Grauner 700BB 8.4 and new hardware and flexcable wrunning to an Octura X645 or X642 will give 5 min runtimes at 29-33mph

well MRP made a few cats that seem to work for FE one is the bud dry which i own 2 of one has been raced but never finish in the top 3 ohhh welll

but here is the setups i have the bud dry (nitro version) with a fine design turbo trans with a 1.2to 1 gear ratio a 8.4 700 bb water cooled and an r/c hydros 10-24 cell speed controller
I run 16 cells with a 48mm carbon prop with fines hardware boat moves pretty good on that setup guessing 30-35 never radared it or used a gps on it .. but the boat doesn't like to handle turns very well

this setup gave me My best heat race ever last heat of the 2001 MMeu michigan cup in q offshore boy it was fun I ended up beating out everyoneI won by chris harris flipping and me being about 4 ft infront of him. the pic below is during the setup of the boat not everything is bolted down

the second boat i have by MRP is there waterheater skater it came with twin outboards the boat wouldn't get out of it's own way.. so homemade hardware and a wooden motor mount and a 18 volt motor on 20 cells and an rc hydros esc and a x 642 or x647 prop cant remember which the boat flew but wouldn't turn either the steps make it piviot.. but straight line it was faster than the bud dry and faster than my keywest on 12 cells wish the setup would have been my first on on it boat was pretty much trashed when i found a setup that worked on it ..
