Hi all, Iīm used to fly FPV and now Iīm realising that I want to go futher more than my rc transmitter is able to achieve. Thatīs why I was thinking to go beyond visual limit and if I lose r/c controls the failsafe enable an autopilot that takes control of the plane and returns it to the point of the take off. Could you please guide me to the steps or equipment necessary to achieve this? I only see in this forum 2 pages of topics and nothing clear for a newbie in uav.

Thanks :)

I would start from here as the cheapest way knowing itīs a single channel as an auto steering unit. http://www.rconline.ca/products/mi-soft/rcap/

This other looks more complex but still low cost http://pfump.org/autonomous_my_hw.html

Next steep http://www.u-nav.com/ Itīs supposed to be just plug and play

Un saludo

I think your best option is the BTA AS-07G Auto Pilot with Plane Retriever which can be found at the following website: http://www.maxxprod.com/mpi/mpi-16.html

U-Nav Picopilot-RTL is also another option at half the price, but its designed to control sailplanes, or moderately stable airplanes with ailerons.

Best of Luck

What about ACC475 AS-07G seems that stores the position of home and flies you back if itīs activated? Thatīs the kind of product I was talking about

Whatever are these products reliable enough for paying what they cost? I mean do they worth it?
