Hi guys,I just got AFPD up and running yesterday--YIPPEE!!!I've been flying for over 30 yrs.,but wanted to get better :D Once I got the setup close to right,I was very impressed!I think I ordered an upgrade video card for nothing(ATI Radeon 9800 Pro-256)I got the sim and the card hasn't gotten here yet,but even on 1024x768 and hi texture it seems fine>Keep in mind the card in my machine now was installed when I built the puter in 2001!It's an nvidea GEforce MX/MX 400 128 running on an ASUS board/Athlon XP1700 processor,512 DDR.Well when the 9800 comes($89),I'll install and see what changes.BTW,what is full smoke??Remember I'm a noobie to sims,smoke from plane?Anyway,after about 1/2hr after cruizing around with a 40 trainer running the farm scenery and terrorizing the cows(they didn't stampede-they need to fix that detail LOL)'I decided to fly thru the enclosed bridge.Took 3 tries but when I tried it on knife-edge---BOOM and lots of pieces :eek: I'd really like to try helis,but have no ideah how to setup the TX. :confused: I'm going to try it anyway-hey-it's a sim :p I should have bought a sim yrs ago when they got pretty real.I'd probably be competing at the nats by now LOL :p Do you seasoned sim jocks think the Starflight add-on is worth it?
