Hello All;
I have just found this site not to long ago. I have been doing a lot of reading and I am getting ready to purchase my first plane. I have been looking on Ebay (Fleabay) to see what's there. There are sales for planes that include an "RC flight sim with cable" for the included controller that comes with the plane.
My research has shown that these planes are the Art-Tech Sapaco's which have gotten decent write ups for the prices. So this is the way I am leaning. I have already downloaded the latest the version of FMS off its website, and all I can say is the kids and I are having a blast even though we are using the keyboard for control right now...my question is when using the actual controller does it allow for trim because the keyboard sure doesn't unless of course RC planes always seem like they want to climb. Feel like I have to put alot of down elevator to maintain level flight.
Also does any one know where I can get a download of the Art-Tech yak and or the sapaco extra 300? This is for FMS of course. :rolleyes:
I see alot of people using these when other help isn't present. (As with my local model flying club, they don't have an "instructor" and prefer only nitro models ) so this is what I was planning to use to do some learning for the time being. Closest other club to me that according to their site has instructors and welomes electric flight is about 30 miles from me, plus this would pass the time in the winter.
My flight experience is in control line planes and little bit of time in the right seat of a real one. I have been racing RC cars and I am looking to get into the air, plus two of my daughters are very interested in Avaition so this is a way for me to foster the growth.
