Send the Bag Lady an email. He made one for my Pike Superior. Excellent quality. Here is his contact info:

I second the vote for the Bag Lady. I bought I used Hera off of RCGroups and it came with one of his bags. It's one nice bit of kit.

The Jim bag from Skip Miller is another option. http://www.skipmillermodels.com/jimbaggs.php

Last I heard Al (the bag lady) stopped making them years ago, I contacted Al about a year ago and he said he was not in the business any more, maybe he started up again?

I never have figured out how a soft bag will offer much protection to the delicate wings and fuse of a sailplane. I made carriers for my Lovesong out of heavy cardboard, and they have served well for a very long time. It only took a couple hours to cut, fold, tape and glue them together, and the cost was VERY reasonable. Of course, they look like what they are.

Try www.jtmodels.com his bags are made to order and in a variety of colors. Very good guy and they protect very well. Like Roger I have used boxes for a long time, but a well made and properly padded bag is even a better route.

For those who have v-tail ships, what sort of packing/storage do you use for the tail? The Bag Lady bag I have is great, but it doesn't help much with the v-tail.

Who flies v-tails anymore? I know a lot of guys do. The only one I had for a long time spoiled me, it had plug in v's, a Zenith, from that point on I have had straight tails and it is not an issue. I do not think I would have a solid v anymore just for this reason.

Send the Bag Lady an email.

Al got out of the business quite some time ago. I spoke with him several months ago, to see if he would do a one-off order and he said that he sold off all his supplies and equipment, so couldn't do it even if he wanted to.

Too bad - his stuff was the best.

Send Skip Miller an email. He has silver wing bags that are specifically made for the perfect, and Jim bags that will fit a perfect.

What is the name of this silver stuff used for bags? I would like to use it for other gliders

I believe it's the same fabric used for ironing board covers.

Perhaps I'm imagining things, but aren't you pretty well known for flying a big Nostalgia legal V tail plane?

I am not sure what the material is. Its padding with a silver covering over it. here is a picture of it.
