Hi there
I am doing some research about starting in RC turbines. Since I live in Europe, one thing is for sure. I will start with the Jet Cat P80. This is the most economical turbine and if service is needed can be doone here.
Other thing that is for sure is that the airplane as to be scale. I have red goods reports about the F15, but I like the F18 very much. Since I no longer want to build a model for 6 monthes or more, I am going ARF, like the Jet Legend or FeiBao. It is not very understandble the diferences between the FB or JL F15 or F18 Hornet. Can somebody give some imputs on that. Also other concernes:
1-None of this manufacturers give technical data regarding wing loads, etc
2- Do the camouflages schemes are dangerous, flying wise?Top and bottom wig same color?
3- Are there any threads regarding buildiing, set-up and flying for this planes?
It seems that Feibao is the same as Jetlegend. What are the diferences.
A great flying year for all....

Speaking from my own personal experiences I know both FB and JL are similar in many reguards really comes down to level of finish offered from factory, FB I know offer high level of finish including fitted gear doors and cylinders and also offer some options as far as out of the mould painted finishes. Overall quality is not a deal breaker as accessories and retract, wheel quality is equal in most areas. You will find pleanty of build advice here and on RCU forums for both JL and FB jets if not just ask and info will come your way 'no worries'
The F-15 is by far a better entry level scale jet than the F-18 as flying qualities are more forgiving, the bug is not recommended as a first jet maybe a first scale though depending on pilots jet flying experience.
Camouflage schemes tend to work and can be hard to see, not surprising eh!!!
ESPECIALLY greys shades.... go with desert camo i.e. tan and green thats better suited to blue/grey sky back ground.
To reiterate differences between FB, JL, SM and EJ for sure price difference are obvious but bottom line would be the level of pre finish options available and offered by each manufacturer simply put....
P.S. If you are must use the P-80 the F-15 is the go as P-80 is not enough thrust for the FB or JL F-18.
hope this helps

Thanks Marty for your imputs.
I have been looking for some threads both in RCG and RCU and found almost nothing regarding the FB F15. I think I will go that way. Would you be kind enough to post some links...
I will ask some help in RCU.

I will ask some help in RCU.
I have friends with an FB F-15, F-18 and an F-22 quality is very good I have an FB MB-339 myself (see pic) so let me know what info specifically you are after and I can ask for CG, throws etc etc... maybe some pics also if you need. Finish is very good and they have panel lines rivits etc, and also apply weathering for military colour schemes offered for flight quality do a search on the other similar F-15's out there, the Fei Bao, Avonds, Yellow, Skymaster, Jet legend are all very close in specification and many accessories are interchangeble also flight set up is similar re- CG, throws etc.
Like I mentioned before though any specific set up just post questions here or RCU for all input you need, as there are probably more of these size/scale F-15's flying than any other scale jet so set up info will be least of your concerns I reckon

Very nice jets indeed... I am trying to look at the FB website and on my 2 MB broardband it is painfully slow... I dont think they have worked out limiting data size on photos.... The Jetlegend one is almost as bad
