HI
Santa being the good bloke he is brought me an OS AX 46 for Christmas.
I was thinking of designing a pylon styled aircraft for it.
I was thinking something a little smoother and faster then a Q500 style of plane. I have built several fast smallish electric powered models like the normal speed 400 sheet balsa wing models and was thinking of scaleing up a 400 design. They use a solid wing cut and shaped from 3/16 balsa wing.
The wing section is basicly flat bottomed with a thin sharpish section.
Does anyone know if this will work scaled up to 60 inch-ish span and kept light. The wing I build will be foam core or partly built up to save weight.
Can anyone tell me what wing section is used in pylon racers?
Many thanks
Rob
