I went to the flying field to day and had just put in a different crystal so I did a range check. I got glitches very quick.

I then tried the old crystal...same thing.
I thought it might be the receiver so I changed it out...same thing.
I switch from a pheonix 45 with a UBEC to the pheonix 45HV with a UBEC and the problem went away.

Got any clues?

thanks

The HV series has a dual opto-isolator between the ESC and receiver so it should have fewer glitches. All ESC’s make electrical noise it’s just a matter of keeping it from the receiver. A ferrite ring on the wire to the receiver also helps a lot.

Where do you find these ferrite rings?

Also I should point out that I didn't have a problem with it previously using the P45.

Digikey.com part number P12721-ND. They are only $3.60 for 10.
