Today I found out about a GPS datalogger on this website:

For US$ 130 you get the logger, in a nice case, comes with lipo battery and cable. Just add your own SD card. The battery can be charged through your USB port. Data can be logged in KML mode for use with Google Earth. The logger can be configured through a configuration file (config.txt) on the SD card.
