I am a 14 year old living in the UK and, as one does, have many ideas on new things to try. Although many of these fail I dont give up. The only problem is money, meaning i can never get round to testing some ideas.
There were just a couple of questions I was wondering about:
1) Would fitting a ramjet straight after a jet inside a tube increase the power output? Also, with an oxygen inlet just before the ramjet allowing for combustion.
2) Would putting a tube from the output of a ramjet powering a compressor, pumping air back into the intake of the ramjet allow the jet to operate while stationary?
Tell me what you guys think, i'm sure I can't be the first person to have wondered about this.

Kinda and nope...sorry

An afterburner in a turbojet is similar to a ramjet but not quite the same, and the second one you described is the beginnings of a turbojet.

Check this thread, I am building/built a few ramjets and am trying to make one light enough for flight!

Also I am prototyping an engine that is a pulsejet at low speeds (so it makes thrust at 0 forward speed) and a ramjet at higher speeds, progress is good so far.
