Our company is looking to hire UAV internal and external pilots.
Is there a way to post a job listing here on the site?
I thought it would be a good place to look for applicants?
Thanks_bob

Do you have any positions in California or anywhere west coast? How do we contact you?

Possibly.
There's more to it than can be disclosed here.
If you think you are interested, email me and we can take if from there.
Happy Holidays!

Yes, its been done before. It's not OK for a company to sell a product this way but it's OK to look for UAV pilots to hire.

Are you a moderator, or on the staff?

No, I'm sorry I didn't mean to give that impression.
But jobs have been posted here before over the last couple of years and no one has ever observed a problem. Some of those postings developed into multi page threads. I think you will have no complaining here. We all wish we could fly UAV's as a full time day job. ;)

Hey Bob,
You mentioned internal and external pilots. The external one sounds intriguing. Are these flights in the States or maybe in a big sandbox in the gulf?

Have to be able to leave home for a few months to train and deploy.
Send an email to the company site so we can talk if you are interested.

Hey Bob,
Can you disclose such things as Salary, Benefits, and location for training activities? I noticed that NAVMAR is local in the DC/VA/MD area. I've seen a few postings for them in local AMA Club Newsletters. Is this a full time position, or contract to hire? I know a few of the 'Military Contractors' in town have switched to the contract to hire method.

Can discuss more for those that go through the company webiste formally.
It starts out as a contract with a minimum 120 day deployment.
Some guys are staying for a year or more as there is a tax break at that point.
There may or may not be full time employment at the end of the tour.
Two things for sure, the conflicts in the Middle East aren't getting any better or smaller, and UAV's are here to stay. R&D is getting busy!
Sometimes relocation is required if full time long term employment is your goal.
You have to be able to be away from home, job and family for at least six months. It's not for everyone, but I did it and I'm glad I did.
It is rewarding, although not always fun.

For what its worth,
Those microuav pics are of a very old version of the Tigershark. From what I understand the guy used to be contracted to build the airframes but the quality and consistancy was just not there so his company was fired off the project. We used to call em "Flexy Fliers".
Thats about all I'm gonna say on that.

We were at the field most of the day.
The winter has been very mild so far.
Spring is just around the corner too...
