View Full Version : Discussion Servo Buzz

I recently bought a new high wing trainer and found that the plastic tubes built into the model (that take the control rods from the servos to the control surfaces) are quite tight and the rods tend to bind to a certain extent. For this reason I put higher torque servos in place. Could this binding be the reason why I am getting buzz on the servos or could there be another cause?

Sorry about time, just saw this item. Servos are buzing because overloaded.
Fit new snakes is the answer.

Unusual for snakes to bind, is the buzzing at the end of the control travel? Might be the surfaces hitting their stops. If so then adjust the servo travel on your tranny.
You should not need anything other than standard servos in this type of model.

I had the same problem with a ARTF model a couple of months ago. I just took the inner snake out, applied some after run oil to a piece of wet&dry abrasive paper, and gave it a good rub down. Also make sure you check that there is no surplus adhesive around the ends of the outer snake.
