Are you looking for something unbuilt or already built? I have a 1 meter kit that I'll never get to.

How much are you looking to spend? I may have something that would be a great beginner boat.

Mike-

What kind of One Meter kit do you have? I may be interested in that.

Let me know.

If not here's something you might be interested in. I built it a couple years ago and I've taken it out a total of three times. It's a soling 1 meter. Put a lot of effort into it to make it stout and seaworthy. The deck has been faired into the hull, the spars were all sanded to an oval cross section then varnished, full diamond rigging with custom aluminum deck fittings, the hull and underside of the deck was strengthened with 1/8" ply. It's a nice and solid boat. Futaba AM 2ch radio and Airtronics 94581 winch.

$300 plus shipping which is about $100 less than the going rate for these things. If your dad finds out he's not interested in sailing you could probably get more than what you'd have in it when you sold it.

On the downside the shipping might sting a little. The 7lbs. keel would have to be sent separately otherwise it could destroy whatever is in the package with it. The box for the hull and mast will be pretty big too. Did you want something in time for Chrismas?

Think about it, there's no pressure, nobody else is looking at it. It's just taking up space in my shop.

Sorry for the delay in responding. The One Meter kit that I have is the Graupner Miramare, kit # 2116. It was over $300 many years ago when I bought it but it has sat for a very long time. It is complete but for the deck and lead keel bulb both of which were to be fabricated I suppose. I'll try to get a photo of it up this weekend if there's any interest.

Mike

Just found the exact same model on ebay. Here's the link so you can see a photo of it now.

I'll post photos of mine if anyone's interested.

I have a Northwind 36 professionally built with 2 channel radio installed. This sailboat has been on the water 1 time for testing. It is super fast in the right wind conditions and very responsive to control. It is 36" long and stands 64" tall from keel to the top of the mast. The only reason i'm selling it is to fund an offshore raceboat.

Let me know if your interested..............Danny
