Hi All

Ive put 1 gallon of fuel through my new Raptor ARTF suddenly Im getting a problem where the low speed needle on the carb is closing itself in between 1-2 mins of hovering. Is this a known problem with the Tiger 36. ( I have stripped the carb once cos I got crap in the fuel)

To fix the problem Im hoping replacing the o-ring(s) will cure it as all that I can see that would dampen movement on the needle could be the rubber o-ring. I have also been advised to check the fan with a "highpoint balancer" what exactly does that do and how does it work? If i guess correctly and the balancer shows the fan to be out

a: would that cause enough vibration to close the needle ?

b: how do i fix it ?

Any comments ideas or experience with this problem and a cure would be much apreciated

kind regards

Robin

Robin,

Real common problem with these TT 36/39 engines. Spoke to Ace and they had no real solution. I tried a couple different things to keep it from vibrating in (new, larger o-ring, even a little locktite), but finally just switched to the OS-32. Raptor flys/handles so much better with the OS engine, really worth the investment.
