Hey,

I've had Piccofly for almost 4 years now, but never really flew with it. I used to own a Futaba FC-16 which did not have a "buddy module". Now I own a Plantraco tx which uses a RS232 (comm) plug. Now, I can't fly PiccoFly with this tx (to my frustration). Now, does realflight support this? If someone knows how to use my current tx on either of these simulators, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks,
Dave

Hey all since yesterday I tried everything I could think of. And my searches payed off. For anyone experiencing the same problems; get PPjoy (freeware), install it, connect your com port device, run the application, add your (virtual) device. Next, run PPjoycom and set to 19200baud and check the box which says "beep on serial input". If you hear a beep deselect the box. Keep the current application on. Go to your game device configuration screen and select "virtual device 1", or whatever you chose in the first application. Go and calibrate it, just as you would with your joystick. Now, run Piccofly and go to calibrate. Here's the weird, but also logical part, since ppjoycom turns your com device to a "virtual joystick", select joystick in Piccofly, not transmitter, and like I said before calibrate it. Done! Piccofly will run with practically any com-port transmitter, in my case the plantraco tx!

It sure feels good to search and try for, what it seems, ages and succeed. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask 'm. I've had Piccofly for quiet some years now, but only flew with the real chopper- the sim is very accurate. Only downside is the small amount of places to fly...

Sim On!!
