Who ever said it was hard to forgive was not wrong!

Twice I have tried to order, both unsuccessful.

You can tell me, its alright, am I welcome?

I wouldnt blame you if I wasn't.

MERRY christmas :)

I just read further back in the other thread and got this email for payment

accounts@unitedhobbies.com

If I send my money there will everything be alright?

I was wondering how long it would be before the "never again" boys would be tempted.

Money always beats principles.

Not true in my case.

I turned down a dream position today as I accepted an inferior position recently.

i have come a long way in my carreer, due mainly to my integrity. ;)

If I wanted to I could have placed an order through a number of friends or my girlfriend.

Eagle - just let the UH site do all the work for you and everything will be fine.

The e-mail address is sales@.... but the Paypal account ID is Accounts@....

If you follow the automated check out process it will ensure that UH get the funds.

Michael

...and welcome back to the dark side :)

Error?
Is this true?
We havnt had any emails regarding this.
Are people getting shopping cart errors when they return from paypal?

Yes,

Happend also a week ago to me. I said some swearwords and went back to the main entry and looked in the order status page. To my relief the order was there.

Yes, it happened to my 4th order also. It did NOT return to UH from paypal. It just gave some error excuse, and a blank page. Don't remember what the reason was, but your emails confirmed that my order had been placed.

Eagleburger,

If you do order from UH, will you let us know if you are happy with the service and products?

The error still exists: only the first item of the order is shown, and after that a general error message (about a 'server timeout') comes up. It gives the impression that the order was lost.

However, I saw that the order was dealth with swiftly, and according to the account system it's now underway.

I ordered the Hextronik 80 amp ESC and USB interface. Received it in approximately 10 days which is pretty good in my books. I am very happy with it so far but have not been able to test it out at high loads yet. The USB interface software allows you to control the speed from your computer and also shows RPM which is pretty neat. Somewhat like the Mtron ESC but just not quite as pretty and does not show battery voltage.

I plan to order from them again.

I ordered a few items on 12/15 and checked yesterday and it was sitting in the warehouse waiting to be filled.. Today I tried to check and their site appears to be down or mostly down (Firefox bitches at me when I tried several times). I'm hoping I'll have my stuff by the new year -- perhaps they're short handed or swamped to sit on an order for 5 days.

Earlier today their website was still up but now it seems to be down.

Yesterday (19/12) I placed my order, and today I received a message and tracking/tracing number. Apparently there is something on backorder in your list of items?

Good luck!

Too bad their website didn't bother telling me that -- or perhaps I didn't notice for the items I was interested in.. I think it should indicate that you've got items on backorder when you place the order to confirm that your order will be delayed if you continue with the order.. Oh well..

Sorry for the outage.
It is now ok. The USA domain provider switched IP addresses on us in the middle of the night.
Scary stuff!

I sent my money to accounts@unitedhobbies and they did not receive it.

They told me launch a claim, which I have done.

Looks like my money is out in the ether :( :(

Hi Eagleburger.
If you sent it to accounts then there is no issue.
If you send it to sales@unitedhobbies.com then there IS an issue.
Did you mention anything about 'sales@unitedhobbies.com' with the payment?
If you processed the payment through the website normally there it should be fine.

Some customers take a punt and send funds to sales@unitedhobbies.com, this is not our paypal account and paypal will not help us find out who it is that sign up for it.

PM me your name and I will clear it up for you in an instant.

Rgds
Karen.

My first order arrived today, upon inspection it was all there and well packed.

My second order is back on track after a slight hiccup. The paypal payment was not tagged to the order and got lost in the system. I have to take some responsibility for that.

So I have to say that I am happy :) . It is good to see that UH is stocking items that I have had difficulty buying online and more are being added everyday. Already planning my next order.

Eagleburger,

I'm glad you took the plunge; it takes courage to turn around like you have. I wonder if any of the other guy's can swallow their pride and give it a go :D
UH wouldn't still be around and growing so fast if their mission statement was to rip everyone off :)

Chris.

Many people must like their products, since the motor I want to order is on backorder.
Oh well at these prices I can wait.

I just made another order and got the same thing again. Doesn't bother me, as long as I get the goods :)

Aren't you the guy that "commented" about my UH thread in vendor talk? Something also about my being a DR. as well.........with one of these at the end :rolleyes:http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=597305

I have to say that after the turn around UH has done and becomming a supporting member of the community, treating customer complaints with respect vice disdain, I sent them a small order.

The order process went smoothly even though I got the error on redirect from PP. I went back to the site and checked and my order was there. Soon followed by an email saying the funds were accepted. So all looks good so far.

I had an order that had a 5 day delay getting shipped. It did not particularly bother me as an item had become out of stock, although it said it was in stock when I ordered. I was only able to work this out using information derived from an rcgroup thread. Anyway it has been sent and I should receive it soon.

I have noticed some complaints by people that has experienced this and can understand why. I think an email would go a long way to keep people happy in this situation.

Like the title sez.

I have recently started clicking on the link on the PayPal page to return back to the UH page. Don't wait for the automatic re-direct... it always seems to give an error. Be ready for it after your PayPal payment is complete. Click the link immediately and no more error... at least not for me.

Well I got around to playing with one of my 12$ ESCs and it works well. They seem to be "figure it out if you can" as they came with no instructions and there are none on the site. To turn the brake off I had to connect it to my micro logger and fiddle with it until the tell tale current bump went away.

So if you would like to know how to use your new item it's best to make sure that instructions are available before you order. Assuming they'll be included seems to be an error.

If it's a Hextronik ESC, you can find the instructions at the Hextronik web site.

They said it was a hextronic but it's not there. No biggy for me I just thought I'd mention it for others. seems to do OK driving a 12mm feiago on the tail of a gws MDF.
