I would like to buy two or three Fet's in the 25 to 30 amp range. They are cheap online, but the minimum order and shipping is costly. I am hoping someone has a few they might want to sell, that is left over from a build. Thanks for looking.

Ask the manufacturer for free samples....
Have them shipped to a business address.

I've got a bunch of IRL540N, IRL1404 and IRF1405 in TO-220 case. Would any of these work for you?

[Edit] For anyone else reading this thread, I also have ten IRFPS3810PBF FETs in SUPER247 case that I'm not using and would love to sell. :)

If I am reading the spec sheet right the RIL 1404 should do the trick. It appears the Rds is .004 Ohm or 4.0 M Ohm. The current is way more than I need, but I hear bigger is better. How much for 3 shipped to 92626 slow way? Thanks for the reply

The IRL1404 and IRF1405 both have very low Rds-on. I find that once it warms up a bit, the actual Rds-on is about twice the rating...still darn low. I easily pull 10amps through them without a heat sink and much higher current levels with sinking. And the IRL1404 turns on fully at a lower voltage but the IRF1405 has a higher Vds rating.

Three 1404's will be $6.69 (I paid $2.23 each), padded envelope is 70-cents, and shipping will probably be a dollar or less. I'll know the exact amount when it's all packaged up. :)

If that sounds good, you can PM me your address and I'll get them out to you on Wednesday.
