:o Okay I'm trying this fms thing again...I've got the esky tx and fms cd..loaded the cd program but am totally dumb about these things...how do I set up the "mapping/calibration for the tx to fms ? I do not understand all these terms on the mapping page..what channel is set for each one please, and what the heck is "nick"??!! toldya i was a dummy....also what is the "inv, and "exp" for???How do I get my pc to recognize the esky tx, so i can get it all set up right?? Sorry for so many questions, but I am totally lost on these terms and stuff.....if anyone wants to help please use "non technical" terms :D Thanks in advance.....

im a newbie too, can u tell me if the esky usb controller is good or not?
nice buil qualityż? any problem?
bcos i want get it too.
in fact you should just install the FMS, plug the USB to computer andstar playing.
what you want setup? nothing to setup xd
just move the trims of your controller until the plane stay stable when sticks are in the center :P

well
control > type control > joystick
here move the sticks to the max position in all ways, and Done! calibrated :P
this will define how much long it your joystick movement, so it will be proporcional in the plane at max position.
inv = inverse, so you invert the joystick, for example: left is right and right is left xD
and exponential is something like: "its more sensible in the corner than in te middle"
or seometing like this,
exponential in fact means "a lot in very short time" is like an acceleration.

about
Tail
Nick
Roll
and Pitch, you will not use them, bcos your command just got 4 channls, (enought for control any model)
nick = the nose of the plane :P
sorry about my bad inglish level,
any way i hope u understand all,
so it rolz the command? xD
can u make a little review? i want one, bcos im newbie and i got nothing.
and Tail Nick and so on are 4 more channels,
you need te get a real transmitter with 8 channels to use them,
dont worry, as far as i know are not necessary,

1.THROTTLE- Moves the helicopter up and down. Transfers engine power to the spinning rotor blades and increases collective pitch to lift the helicopter.
2.COLLECTIVE PITCH- Moves the helicopter up and down. Controlled by the throttle through automatic mixing, the pitch of each of the two main rotor blades are directly proportional and change together or collectively to create the desired movement of the helicopter.
3.TAIL ROTOR PITCH- Turns the helicopter right or left (Yaw). This tells the helicopter which direction to face. In the neutral position, the tail rotor blades have built-in pitch, which enables it to counteract the torque of the spinning main rotor blades.
4.FORE-AFT CYCLIC -Tilts the helicopter forwards and backwards (Pitch). Changes the pitch of the main rotor blades in cycles, which adjusts the pitch (forward and backward tilt) of the helicopter itself. This enables the helicopter itself to fly forwards or backwards.
5.LEFT-RIGHT CYCLIC - Leans the helicopter to the left and right (Roll). Acts similar to the Fore-Aft Cyclic, except in this case the helicopter leans to the right or left in order to fly in either direction. A gyro is kind of like an “automatic pilot” for the tail rotor function. Generally, the tail rotor is a touchy, difficult function to control (and the most important while learning). A gyro is a little black box that contains special components and circuitry to help you hold the yaw (left and right turning) position of the helicopter. Don’t fly your conventional heli without a gyro. All helicopter flyers today, from beginner to expert, use a gyro.

there are two mode type controllers
usually 90% people use MODE 2
