After much investigation, decided FSOne's the one I wanted, my ranting even convinced my friend to go get it 2 wks before me, one slight prob, not re-calibrating after installing 1.04 patch, (he called support for a Duh.. moment), and he's up and fly'n. I check his out, I'm still like'n the idea,get around to get'n to the LHS last Sun. get mine and scamper home... Do the install, patch Imediatly,go to callibrate controller, Ail. won't cal, NO response, everything else fine. Into Win CP/GC same thing, Huh!!, after trying all kinds of things, (furriously ratcheting the El trim, the last), it starts to work. Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth back into FS1, Re-callibrate, and I'm fly'n, have'n Fun, after, oh, 30-40 min, set the controller down, come back 15 min later, back to NO Ail., ARGH!!!, tried everything I could think of, NOTHING! worked. So, next day, after work, go to LHS, ask to plug my controller into thier sys, to check for hardware issues. No prob, go right ahead. Hook'd it up, into Win CP/GC, circled the right stick around, works GREAT... Great, now I'm looking at Software or Sys. issues...,( Notice I said nothing about any other controls ?...). Back home, try everything and anything I can think of, NO GO....,still no response to Ail. Call'd FS1 Tech Support next day after work, first tier, very helpful, but no joy, he'll have tie r2 call ASAP, missed their first call, finally talked to them Thurs., again very helpful, but as I had even gon e so far in my troubleshooting as to do a clean re-install of Win XP,(still having same prob), felt it was a H/W issue, OK, just happen to have a Firewire card w/USB laying around I'll give that a try( he says" If that does'nt work, I'd tell you to call me back, but you've tried everything I can think of...", No Flame, No blame, I had..). Get home, find the card after much searching, Pop it in.... You guess'd it, same thing. OK,... By GOD, now I'm on a Quest... Next day, though I did'nt really want to, installed it onto my CAD workstation,(same MB as my game/surf PC, but I'm gonna get to the bottom of this), Ail.'s work, BUT now... Throt. No Go...What The ???...Wheel the desk chair to the other side of the room, begin the intall on my DAW,( Intel MB, as compared to ABIT, on the other 2) call my buddy and ask how long he'll be up, 'cause, if this don't work, I'm com'n over. Get to his house, my controller does the samething on his Known Good sys as all of mine. Go to LHS Sat. morning," Can I try this one more time", and, Yes, Throt. not working on their sys...So I'm think'n out loud, nothing you guy's can do, right, gotta RMA it, go that route... They took PITY on the fool, opened a box off the shelf, we plug'd it in check'd everything, I thank'd them PROFFUSE'LY, and went home a HAPPY camper, YEAH!!!!!
