Hi all.
This receiver was in a plane that I had not flown in a while. Out of the blue it became non-operational. It has not been in any crashes what so ever.
I have opened it up, and have found ‘ways’ to get it working:
1. touch finger over the pins on circuit board. It sometimes will work later after I take my finger off it.
2. put end of screw driver (slightly magnetic tip) about 1” from circuit board. This works most of the time.
3. move tx away from it. Some positions it works/does not work. It takes step 1 to get this working first.
Step 1 always seems to work.
Jiggling it about without touching the board does not work. The rx was bought in 2002, and has had little use.
I am intending to get this rx fixed DIY with the help of your input. Getting it fixed by hitec is out of question – it would probably be cheaper to buy a new rx! I am in New Zealand, Wellington.
If I get it fixed I intend to run it in a s400 pylon type plane.
