Seller doesn't even know if it runs or how many hours! Yikes!

And there is a question mark there, as in "World's Smallest?"

sounds interesting, but who knows? without seeing it run 'in the flesh' if its a goer??? as to worlds smallest? I have seen the tiny Lambert turbine perform and was really impressed by its flight performance... if you want small check out the Lambert turbine for your park flyer

Seller says "home made by previous owner who ran it" yet the combustion chamber shown in the pic looks as if it has never run.

Almost anyone with some engineering skills and equipment could make an "engine" like this ... the tricky part is making one which WORKS. We've seen a number of claims of "World's smallest jet engine" but, unless there is proof positive that it works, it's not an engine but a shelf ornament. So far the only person who's made a real jet engine smaller than the MW44 (75mm diameter) is our friend Martin Lambert with the Kolibri.

It looks very intriguing. However like most of you I would like to see it run in person first.

Marty, Now that is one cool small jet.

"Now this is ridiculously small !"

Professor Alan Epstein and his team have been using computer-chip fabrication techniques to make a gas-turbine engine that fits in the palm of his hand.

I have been running a T32 since December 2006. The one I have is a full autostart with a small electric motor and clutch on the front. Initally it was fitted to a Multiolex Sonic liner, bigger than the twin jet and so easier to fit the gear.
Started first time and with a hand launch headed for the heavens. With this engine the model is fast but very easy to fly and the only "difficulty" is landing asthe model will fly quite well at idle so the motor is cut on finals, this also aids cooldown.
No one should have any doughts about the performance and fun with this type of jet. It gets flown of long grass every other day and has clocked up over 500 minutes of flight time to date.
There are several photoes on the Aberdeen & District Soarers website.

Good flying to all

I'll second that on the Lambert, an amazing little engine. I help a friend fly his (probably the one Marty saw flying at Wangaratta) & it just goes & goes. His is the blower start version fitted to a Twinjet. It must have hours of run time up with no problems at all.

It's not a novelty or a gimmick, it's a genuine, developed, use it every day tiny turbine. - John.
