View Full Version : New Hinges Interfer with GlideLock

The new improved hinges on the ParkHawk are larger in diameter than the older ones. As a result, my GlideLock Lever clearance was insufficient and the wings got stuck on the first upstroke. Attached is a picture of the before and after filing I did on the lever to attain clearance. If anything, I should have taken more time and removed less material. This worked fine, but a tighter clearance probably would have been better.

Just a quick note that Jerry is refering to the glide lock on a bird that had the retrofitted hinges. The new birds out of manufacturing do not have this problem.
