Any good pictures of "basic" wiring diagrams on this site for a newbee? Batt to esc to servo's, switch.........
Thanks

Here are a couple of pictures of Gary Nelson's boats. Nice method of hiding the wiring. Jerry J

Here are some of my models. The USCG 378' WHEC is still a work in progress.

Thanks for the pixs, gives me a better understanding of how I need to design my scratch built. Still working on converting Autocad (.dwg) to a file format I can post here.

WAXER',
There are some really nice examples already given, so I won't bother showing you how my wiring looks (more of a 'dead-bug' kinda thing anyway, stuff going everywhere, not exactly 'neat' by any means).
Not exactly sure what you meant by wiring diagram so here's a sort of basic example. If the components are plugged into the right 'slots'/devices, it'll work. Might not be the 'neatest' or 'prettiest' installation, but if it works who cares (within reason).

This is the multi volt (6V 12V 24V) system from the Seaspan Regent it was a challenge because of the lack of room inside the hull, it has eight 7 amp hour batteries onboard. It weighs in at 105 LBS!
It has a multi switch option installed in the radio which gives me 32 working functions, including working lights (NAV, Tow1, Tow2, Tow3, and Deck lights)
Working anchor winch, double drum tow winch and a bow thruster.
This is a 10 year old insulation.

if You Use Two Esc's With A Bec System (battery Elimination Circuit), remove One Of The RED Wires From The Esc Servo Plugs

FAILURE TO DO THIS MAY DAMAGE YOUR RECIEVER

Here you can see 1 of 2 ESCs, one of two SLA's, a few of the motors, and a nest of wires. Note fuse block in upper left. I carry 6v and 12v circuits off the twin 6v batteries.
Much usage of terminal strips and tie wraps!
And this is only the lower electronics tray. The wrapped lead carries power and ESC signal leads up to a yet-to-be-built upper tray, which will have Rx and some other goodies.
I made a nest for the ESCs, and secured them with a bent wire bail to hold them in place. No one seems to build ESCs with any kind of attachment doo-hickeys, and I HATE Velcro!
Because the fixed opening in this application is rather small, the lower wooden tray has hinges... it can be folded up in order to work it out of the opening.
