I made a few molds by , laying the fuse on its side over a piece of plywood covered by formica , carefully drawing the outline on the formica , cutting out the formica so the fuse lays half way through the "parting board" you just cut out , fill any small gaps with some filler materal , we coated the fuse with mold release wax first , then used pva mold release on the fuse half and parting board , coated the "plug" with tooling gelcoat , then light weight fiberglass cloth for a few layers ,then progressivly heavier glass cloth , thickness depends on how maney parts you want to make from your mold , after laying up the first side , remove the fuse and mold half from your parting board , and do the same layup to the other half of the fuse and mold half , when done laying up, drill for pins so your mold halves will line up,split the mold , remove your original fuse , clean the mold , and your good to go .....Dennis

Thanks for the info.

The fuse it real simple, its a stepp3 fuse. I was intially thinking of braceing it and laying like a real thin plastic, like cling wrap(sandwich wrap) over it. Then lay the glass over it until its solid enough. Then repeat on the other side, trim them up and then try that.
The formica sounds better though, that way each half is equal.

Why is it that you want to copy this fuse? Why not just use it!

I actually bought this for a mate of mine. Would like to do a joint build so we can have the same model.
