I'm a chemist. I work mainly with High Performance Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry. My group plays a supporting role in high throughput screening/drug discovery efforts for "A Large, Well-Known Pharmaceutical Company".

I also surf, hence the moniker.

Wow, when this thread started I think I was still employed.
USAF 5 years
Commercial pilot (on airplanes considered antique now)
Asst VP Operations and stockholder when my airline went public.
Spent a long time helping to drive them to bankruptcy.:)
5 years in NYC as a union member (what came over me!!!) doing modelling and TV Commercials
Started Limo service there with another actor for VIPs (yecch, Hollywood types) and I could tell you a lot of names of which ones are lousy tippers.
Sold that to a large entertainment company
Ahhhhhhhh, retired.
Moved to a western state where my son is the Director of the training academy for a law enforcement agency and worked for that agency for 4 years doing background investigations. Now that was fun.
Did not like that particular western state and moved to Florida.
And now do nothing but plan which model to buy next. And I have not been over qualified for any of them, including the present one.:D
