Hi,
When switching my old nicads with lipo, I found out that I got a CG problem. Had to arrange every bits and pieces all up front.
So...if you plan on changing the engine as well, be prepared to work on the CG-matter.
When empty, this model is really tailheavy....remember, this model is from the nicad/brushed-era....

All answers are in this thread and the one before it.

I used a 1320 2 cell lipo with the stock motor and a Groupner 6.3 X 3 prop. Performance was quite good and CG was fine with the battery all the way forward. I do like a rearward CG for thermalling so you might need a little nose weight at first.
NOTE: You MUST CHANGE THE PROP per the thread or perforance will be very poor.
I later changed to an e-flite Park 370 outrunner for lower weight. All up weight is now 13.9 oz. This makes a big difference in light lift.
It's all in the thread along with lots of other setups.
