I have a usb sim cable for my graupner/jr MX12, but i am getting a new transmitter, futaba 9C (FF9) and i need a sim cable adaptor for the usb cable to work.

The cable is a Mile high wings and they actually have a cable adaptor, but since i dont live in the us, i will end up spending twice the cost, and my budget is limited after the recent purchase.

appearantly only 3 poles are actually used as a trainer-connector on the transmitter, and the adaptor cable sold by the mile high wings is just a straight cable between the two connectors, so my conclusion is that it has to be possible to build my own.

so what im looking for is the schematics for that type of cable, it should be pretty straight forward but i want to be shure.. :)

has anyone made such cable?

It would be great if i could use a similar cable to hook my mx12 as pupil transmitter aswell :)

The problem is that i use Mac, and all other cables that ive found arent compatible.

The Futaba buddy connector is a standard 6-pin DIN plug. You can get them from Farnell or possibly some local electronics distributor. http://se.farnell.com/jsp/endecaSearch/partDetail.jsp?SKU=309126

thanx for the link, but unfortunately the plug is not the same. the ff9 has a square shaped 6 pin plug.

Isn't it the new square connector on the 9C? I know it is on the 7C.

This is where I got mine from

Custom Electronics (http://www.customelectronics.co.uk/)

just goto the R/C Projects link and theyre under the Futaba 9C Plugs link. :D

and for the pinouts goto the reflex simulator website as they have pinouts for most connectors

reflex FF9 square plug pinout (http://www.reflex-sim.de/reflex-sim/shop/catalog/faqdesk_index.php?faqPath=15_35_45_49)

reflex Garupner MX pinouts (http://www.reflex-sim.de/reflex-sim/shop/catalog/faqdesk_index.php?faqPath=15_35_36)

Hope that helps.
