I just bought my first full house TD ship (a Hera) and now I'm trying to set it up using my 9303. The setup instructions in the manual and the Joe Wurts addendum answer most of my questions, but I still have a few things I'm wondering about.

When the flaps are acting as ailerons, should they deflect the same amount as the ailerons, or some percentage of the aileron deflection?
In crow, I know the flaps should go down, but should the ailerons go up? Or do I just use elevator mixing to adjust for the pitching effect of the flaps?
What are "typical" aileron deflections for a 120" glider? If your answer is there is no "typical", then maybe just tell me what your using.
What sort of flap setting is typically used in launch mode? Flaps down? How much?
Anybody have anything they do with their 9303 programming that they consider unique and/or different from the manual? If so, why?

TIA,

Ivan MacKenzie.

Ad 1: Move them 40% of aileron. Theoretical ideal would be elliptical deflection.

Ad 2: You can do both. I would move ailerons up 50% with full flaps down, so that you can still control roll.

Ad 3: Launch mode is usually about 6-12mm down for the entire trailing edge, i.e. flaps and ailerons. If the ailerons have a smaller cord then the flaps, you need to move them just a little bit less down then the flaps.

Ad 4: Can't help you with the 9303.

Go to JR Radio website, Joe Wurts has a full write up for the 9303 sailplane set ups.
