does anyone know a MIG29 kit or RTF for a small 10lb turbine such a wren44 ?
most mig29 are BIG 1/7 scale or even bigger, for +20lb monster turbine
(I know the Grumania Su27, but I don't like the SU27, and the non-fully retractable gears of the grumania are not good looking)

I was going to suggest the Grummania SU-27  but thats not an option I guess... I have a 'BIG' F/C Mig-29 kit awaiting its turn on the building table for (2 x 30 lb'ers)....
As far as I know there are no Mig-29 kit/ARF's out there small enough for 2 x MW-44, the smallest Mig-29 I know of still requires 2 x 18 lb'ers minimum. I reckon you may have to scratch build your own.
Some twins that would work well with 2 x MW-44 might be the Avonds size F-15 if built light with tailerons only. This would offer a few options for you with all the new Chinese F-15 ARF's now on the market... what about a twin MW-44 F-22 ;)

I am building a Top Gun Models Mig-29 for EDF, it was originally ICDF. I dont have any real-life experience with turbine power, but I would imagine with the right modifications this one could be turbinated (???). The model would probably use anything from 8lbs+ thrust... I imagine the max would be around 16....

hat is a good hint.
Does someone has the web site of Top Gun Models ? It looks they are not in business anymore !
Edf Express; can you tell me if the quality of the kit is good ? Does the plane look scale ? What are its dimentions and weight ?
thanks

not sure if they are still made... the quality of the kit is good, it is no show-winner out of the box (no molded scale panel lines and such) but the design seems top-notch for what is needed. This one looks to be a good flyer without too much work. The plane is around 72" long? I am 5'6", and it is bigger than me... I think AUW should be around 12lbs for me, I am doing mine EDF. Check out my build thread under electric ducted fan jets...

Is this size right for you?
I have to ask about details
Kit is made in Poland for local modelers, but is surprisingly good
By the way MIG29 got two jet engines. How you are going to manage that?
2 X 10Lb?

So ZM, is this a Mig or a Su ? I got mixed also ? It really look more like a Mig-29 since a Su-29 is a... propeler plane !!
What are the sizes and weight of the plane ? Is it your kit ?

when I wrote Su got Su27 on mind not 29
I am glider guy.
When I was picking up my gliders two summers ago I made pictures of this kit and I liked it a lot.
At this moment I am confused.
I have checked number of pictures of MIG29 and Su27 and non of them look exacly like a kit fuse. Fuse in the kit has a lots of surface details as far I remember. Model was designed for one of the glow fan units in 10-15cc size in mind. I heard couple of them were flying succesfully in some shows.
Give me a day and I will gather more information for you.

PS Just recently I got pictures of 1/5 scale TS 11 Iskra they are working on
Consider it as as sneak preview

That is a great web site for Mig 29 fans. Have you ever come across a similar site detailing the SU-27 Flanker? I have looked around a lot, but come up with precious little.
Thanks

So, nobody apparently know about a "small" Mig-29 kit for a small 10lb Turbine ??

maybe the guys splashing them in poland helped put top gun out of biz. Also a decent option would be the E-byro for one. There big but super friendly fliers, more like a trainer than a jet as far as performance. Still havn't decided whether to do twin 90,s or byro in mine

Polish guys are out of the business too
There is no one to be found
most of them working English and Irish hospitals for living now
I have learned that MIG was too small for liking
By the time look what I found
