It's still up there, I can't get it to come down. Looking out the window now, typing with one hand and flying with the other...

But seriously, every time I'm thinking of landing my knees turn to jelly. I'm used to powered planes which you can slow down to an idle and just ease her in.

The slope I flew on yesterday was AWESOME, but there's not much of a landing area. It's a steep slope with bushes and rocks, with the road halfway up the slope. If I bring the Bee in from the side, it goes really fast so any landing is more of a crash in the bushes (once into a rock!). Someone on the rcgroups irc channel told me I should bring it up from below, flying towards me, and turn in front of me to slow down. Is that how it's done, or is there another way?

The slope is just past Gordon's Bay on the road to the dam, with a beautiful view over the ocean, and it works really well in NW.

Never mind, I found the topic on landing in the Slope forum. Couple of things to try there.

Hey, with a Bee, if push comes to shove when it's time to land, just plough it into the ground. It will survive. :)

It's still surviving, but the nose is a bit crunched up from "landing" into a rock. Other than that, it's virtually bombproof!

Just Passing , but here's a hint as well try a side slip up the hill and turn into the wind when your at or near your landing point try this from both directions and choose the one that give the slower approach and if your not happy with the setup simply go round . We decend way down below the horizon when landing on our S/easterly slope here and have and area a little smaller than a tennis court but using the technique I discribed we get our high performance machines down quite easy. It does take practice though but it will come to you.

Thanks Steve I'll give that a go and see what happens!
