Tuned pipe melted

Hello,

I've bought a Carson / Tamiya Stormracer 1 RTR 4 WD buggy with a 2,5
cc engine

After about 2 hours of ride the silencer/tuned pipe melted.
It's made by black plastic.

I've use a 10 % nitro fuel and I've continuosly checked that the
mixture is not too lean.

Unfortunately I'm not an experienced rc car modeler, as I always use
electric powered airplanes.
So I could have made a wrong mixture.

Someone could help me, what was wrong or happend, where I made a
mistake.

If you're gonna spam at least try use a different posting address from the
website you're spamming.

For the OP. Changing to 16% wouldn't solve the problem, I'd suggest just
getting a metal pipe of some form, plastic pipes are naff anyway - see it as
an upgrade opportunity heh :-) If the engine temps were ok then I wouldn't
worry.

I was wondering how increasing the nitro content would stop the pipe from
melting too. And why not increase it to 20 or 25%? Oh I see, they doesn't
sell anything higher than 16% Nitro.

I like the little bit of false advertising below the bottle of fuel that say
that it will fill your tank 40 - 60 times and give you up to 400 minutes of
Nitro RC Fun. That bottle would be lucky to fill my truck 14 times.
Actually going by the information on their web site none of the trucks or
buggies will get anymore than 30 tanks of fuel from the 2.27 litre bottle of
fuel they sell. The worst being lucky to get 4 tanks of fuel.

So does that mean that I can get a refund if it doesn't fill my truck up the
advertised 40 - 60 times or run it for 400 minutes (6.6 hours, hmmm)??

If your going to make such a big claim like that at least back it up with
some actual proof or face the consequences that people like me are going to
come back and ask why your 2.27 litres of fuel wouldn't fill my 160 ml tank
up 40 - 60 times.
