Well is it?
Are the models still available in kit form?
Are there still comps?
National series?
Has electric pylon racing taken over its place in modellers hearts? :(

There are a few old racers about that still own some Club 20 models but there is no class for them to race in the UK, although they keep asking if they could fly at the Club 2000 meetings. Club 2000 took over from Club 20 some years ago (2000) and is raced and run by the old Club 20 regime.
Club 20 exists in some form in Holland but I don't know how popular these are.
There is also a company in Germany www.modellmotorentechnik.de/ that make some fantastic looking 20 sized racer type models. Flair are also now selling a Club 20 kit, Tracer I think.
If you are looking to get into pylon in the UK the choice is Club2000, Sport 40 or F3D. Q500 is about to make a comeback which could be good and F5D (electric) is gaining popularity (about 8 entries for next years series) but can be expensive.

As you have the link to Club 2000 you will find all the info that you need there.
I have raced in the class and found the competitors to be a friendly bunch and the meetings to be good fun.
I would suggest that you also consider Q500 www.pylonentries.fsnet.co.uk/indexa.html .
Unfortunately the season has ended for both clases so you won't be able to see them fly until next year.
Club 2000 meetings are mostly run near Northampton whereas Q500, Sport 40, F3D and F5D are held at RAF Cottesmore.

We still run Club 20 in Calgary over the winter, if you're dropping by to do some skiing.
It's basically UK rules but without the inlet restriction and allowing full tuned pipes. This is just to allow for the altitude here (3500ft) and to get similar performance to what you see at sea level.
Events are run approximately every second Sunday as long as it's not too cold. :D

Too cold is less than -10C when sunny or a bit warmer than that if it's cloudy and breezy.

Club 20 is still done by mostly all F3D guys in Holland...and me :D
We have about 10 competitors if we're lucky and it is always great fun. It is also still flown in Belgium although I believe not much racers show up there. One or 2 times a year we go to Belgium to race with them and usually the Belgians win...
You can find a lot of Club 20 and Quicky pictures in my album which has been under construction for at least a year now...

I thinks Club 20 could return. Using a standard engine.

Club 20 pylon racing in England was a super racing class, for various reasons Club 20 died on its feet.
I flew in Club 20 for over 10 years and won the British Nats three times, I think that Q500 as is going to be flown in England and Europe this year, is going to be the new Club 20.
Check out this website for the latest details on UK pylon racing

F5D is not a replacement for Club 20, it is a very worthwhile class but not Club 20.
