....I've decided to split and sell the Savage. Basically, real
life/illness/other irriations and attractions are just getting in the way of
RC at the moment, and I can't justify owning 3 nitros, and I don't really
have storage space. So, basically, I'm keeping the RB Revo as it's the
easiest to just have a quick blat with (as I said before, RB engine is the
best I've ever used....), the 2.5R Revo is going to mate to replace his MGT,
and the Savage is been gutted of its mods, and then sold off, as a RTR and
then the mods will go seperately. It's a sad day indeed :-( Naturally,
I'll be removing all the decent radio gear from the Savage heh ;-)

So, when I get round to it in the next few weeks, raise your hands if you
want anything :-)

<can't believe he's selling the Savage over
the......ack..........choke.......Revo>

Seriously though, I hope whatever is getting in the way of your RC'ing is
resolved and that life eventually makes room for more funtime. I think
selling off the collection (including the other Revo) is premature though.
You'll never get what you paid for all the bits out of it. Unless you're in
dire straights and really need the money, clean the damn thing (MY way, not
YOUR way!!), oil up the motor and put it in a box for as long as you have
to. It'll be there waiting when life lightens up a bit.

Thats what I've done with my E-maxx, cleaned it up real well, gave it a bit
of a service, took the wheels off, took the batteries out, put it all in a
big box with all its spares and radio and stuck it into storage. Its worth
twice as much to me as I would get for it secondhand, so I figure I keep it
and one day if a mate rocks up and wants to drive something, they can drive
it and I can drive the Zilla...

Cheers Dre

There's know shame in doing what you have to do.

I've been thinking of doing the same with a few of the cars and trucks I
have here as they just don't get the use or attention they need and other
hobbies/interests and just daily activities just don't permit the time for
them all.

As discussed with the missus we have a 4x4 with a few heavy mods that barely
gets used for it purpose, several thousand dollars worth of fishing gear
that hasn't been touched in over a year and then we have the RC cars,
trucks, planes and helicopters. Some things has to go or just get slimmed
down a bit and the RC gear is the only thing that is really worth anything
to sell.

Funniest thing of all is that she has about 50 stuffed animals sitting in a
few boxes in the shed but there's know way in hell she is getting rid of
them.

Cheers

How do you make a profit out of a second-hand anything?

I don't really need the hard folding green at the moment as bar going in and
out of hospital I'm not doing much, so it's cheap living heh. I'm lookin at
changing my car when I'm fixed in 10 months or so, so I suppose I could save
for that. Its more I just feel as though, they're taking up space and been
a bit wasted. If I get shot of a couple now, whilst they're still worth a
few quid, it's worth it. I can always get some new stuff in the future ;-)
I quite fancy an LST2 at some point, just because I've never owned an LST
heh.

And I'd be keeping the modded Revo as it's just so easy to use, no dirty
hands, no tool box needed, just glow start, tranny, EZ, and fuel bottle, and
I'm set for hours. It never breaks, the engine never stutters, and it uses
sod all fuel!

Well, the Savage has been unuseable for a good long while now cos the
clutchbell was shafted, but the posty gave me a new one this morning, so
I'll get that whapped on and get her up and running soon and play again, see
how much I enjoy it hehe.
