For all you builders out there. We at SouthEast model products have designed a series of EP Warbirds in 2 sizes, all with retracts and all control surfaces. Our first release is a P-51 Shipping dates are first quarter of 03. Here are the specs.

P-51

Wingspan 44"
Wing area 400 Sq/in.
Length 34"
RTF weight 40 oz.
Power Colbalt 480 4:1 w/ APC 9X8
Battery's 10 Sanyo 1700 maH NiHi
Hobbico 10 size retracts
4 Micro, 1 Mini servos
JR Micro reveiver
Intro price $99.95 direct.

With this setup, average flight times are about 13 min's, average speed about 70 mph


Mini P-51

Wing area 100 sq/in.
Length

Power Astroflight 010 brushless motor direct drive APC 6X4
Battery's 4 ea, 1700 maH Lithium Ion, 2, 8.4V cells paralled
GWS Micro retracts
5 Micro servos
JR Micro receiver

Flight times have beeen up to 30's min's witha a average speed over 50 mph.


Kits include all hardware and wheels, Laser cut balsa & ply parts and selected balsa sheeting and spars.

What's the diameter of the wheels on the 44" version? I only have a grass field to fly from.... :rolleyes:

Nice planes. I thought you might like to see these pictures taken many years ago. This is me standing in front of Bob Hoovers P51 after an airshow in Daytona Beach Fl.

This was my K&B .40 powered p51. Pilot error during a roll sent this one to its fate.

Here is a front view. The corporate logos were on this plane , but were installed after this photo was taken. I've never made another mustang since.
