I am considering purchasing a Coast Guard Tug fron Scale Shipyard. Has any one done business with them? How's their quality? Any info is welcome.

I have heard good and bad from them but I have not done any buisness with them yet. I hope you have good luck with them I hate when hobby stores on the net or at a store front are bad people.

The Scale Shipyard has been around for well over 20 years, and they've had their ups and downs, regarding slow delivery times, etc. Currently, thay are processing orders much better than in past years.

Their quality is excellent, and you can't beat the variety of their selection of hulls. Most of what they offer can't be gotten anywhere else. I've known the owner since when he had only two hulls to offer---.

Lee Upshaw produces a "quailty product" --no doubt about it. I've done business with him in the past. If he has a problem with delivery (ie, the hull you want has to be made up) --he is upfront and honest about it.

He can be trusted, IMO, and is a "square dealer".

Lee has a lot of great stuff and the parts to help outfit a quallity model! :) :D Call or email him first to see what is available and to get possible dilivery schedual as some stuff is not in stock and takes a few weeks to get made up at the glass shop. Great stuff as I have built a few models on Lees product and am currently building 3 subjects on his hulls. :D
