After trying several different available models for FMS, the fastest model I have come across is a small F-15. It seems pretty realistic, except for some aspects of landing (it scoots across the ground like it's ice). From a chase camera I achieved 89 meters a second. With the zoom I got 80, and with the regular camera I got it to 78. These are all dives. Normal flight, it does between 45-55 after it gets some speed built up. I use a keyboard, so it's always climbing or diving at high speeds. I use version 2.7 of FMS, and haven't flown the other.
Has anyone found a faster plane for 2.7? If not, what are the most fun models you fly? I found a plane that will do loops in place, but speed is where it's at if you ask me.

This is where I get most of the models I use, but that link is actually to 2.8 downloads, and you have to go to the 2.7 ones that are seperate. Some 2.8 models work with 2.7, but don't for the most part. Their server is offline because of too much bandwidth use, but will be back online 11-1-06.
If you want to try the micro F-15 for 2.7, I have set up a remote portal =)
